Default Bible School

This week, a local church is providing a nightly Bible School, free of charge. This is for ages 3-18. My boys (currently 4.9 and 2.7 years old ) LOVE it! They learn songs, get some new friends, and also learn about Jesus. As a Christian, this is very important to me! And sometimes I think they just don't "get it" on Sunday. Find one in your area!

I love bible schools. I do wish though that most would have them for 4 year olds as well. My daughter loves church and really enjoys going but ussually the churchs forget and leave out the preschoolers. My little one loves preaching to others and loves reading her bible. JUst wish churches would do more for the real little ones with bible schools. Its great to see that yours has it available for the preschoolers as well. I know ours dont.

I was really surprised that they allowed my almost-3-yo to attend! It ended up being all the pre-schoolers in one class, then the next one is kids that have already attended kindergarten. But the activities are short, it's just enough for their attention span. and they LOVE the singing time!

My daughter went last year to 3 different VBS programs and loved them. This year 2 of them are not doing the program. Truly bummed....but we are still going to one. It's amazing what they pick up and learn.

Smile Vbs

Vacation Bible School is great for the little ones. I teach the 3's and 4's every summer. But I also teach Sunday School to the 2's and 3's, so if I have any child in my class that is 2, that child is also allowed in my VBS class. Our VBS runs for a week and the classes go from the 3 year olds through our teen class. Last year we had a contest. Each night we collected change from the boys and girls. The team that ended up with the most change collected, got to pick someone to sit in the dunk tank on the last night of VBS. More important, we had a list of all the missionaries we support and the winning team got to choose the missonary that was to receive all the money we collected. Everyone had a good time and it served a very good purpose.
