Default make your own jewelry

Materials Needed:

Macaroni Noodles
Rubbing Alcohol
Food Coloring
2 Ziploc Baggies or Bowls

First we want to color the noodles, pick 2 favorite colors (Save some noodles, we will use plain noodles for white!). Use one baggie or bowl for color 1 and one for color 2. Place the desired number of noodles in the baggie or bowl. Pour on enough rubbing alcohol so all the noddles are covered. Add a generous amount of food coloring to one container of alcohol and noodles, and also add a generous amount of the other food coloring to the other container of noodles. Put these aside and let them sit until they are the desired color (this can take a while - the longer they sit the brighter the colors). Once the noodles have reached the desired color, remove them from the baggie or bowl and lay them in a single layer on paper towels to dry.

Once your noodles are dry, your are ready to create jewelry! Cut lengths of string for necklaces, bracelets, anklets, rings - anything you want (cut a little extra for tying)! Start out by tying a noodle to the end of a piece of yarn to get you started, and then string the other noodles on. Be creative! Make different color patterns. Once you are done, tie the ends of the string together.

have fun and enjoy your new jewelry!
