Smile Indoor smores

My kids love smores and when we can't be around the outdoor fire to roast marshmallows for smores we do this quick recipe. I take two Chips ahoy chocolate chunck chip cookies and a big marshmallow;place one cookie on a paper plate, put the marshmallow on top of it and then the other cookie on top of the marshmallow.Heat for 20 seconds in microwave.Keep watch on it because sometimes when the marshmallow swells up to melt, the top cookie falls off and you need to stop the microwave to put it back on top. We all love these treats!

Default Smores and Camping...

We make the actual Smores in the microwave. Graham cracker, chocolate, and marshmallow sandwich and microwave for 20 seconds. Not the roasted marshmallow that we get while camping, but sure makes a nice snack during the middle of a blizzard. Brings back memories of past and hope for the change of season and camping/fishing!! Woohoo Spring is almost here!!

Mmmm cookie smores. They sound delish.

We have one of those smore makers, the kind you use the little burning pots with. They definately don't taste the same as those made over a camp fire. With the short winter this year, we should be able to get a lot of camping in this season!
